Summer Breezes!

Last Wednesday we enjoyed a lovely breezy service outdoors.  Our last Wednesday Summer evening Worship Service will be held on Wednesday August 31st, 2016 at 7:00pm with regular Sunday Worship resuming at 10:30am on September 4th, 2016.

We having exciting New Christian Education opportunities for Adults, Youth and Kids to look forward to as well as the return of the very popular Give & Go fundraiser!  Watch for upcoming news over the next couple of weeks, on all the exciting programs and services planned for you at Leaside United Church!

Special Hymn Service Wednesday August 17th

At the heart of August and our exploration of the many names we bring to try to describe the sacred, we will have this special hymn service. Join us for hymns, familiar & new, full of many names. This will be a service that asks questions, and is full of poetry and beautiful music!

Remember to join us any time after 6:30pm for lemonade, and at 7:00pm for worship.

Our lives are online now and forever.  All employers “Google” potential hires before considering an applicant, make sure your “online resumé” is really who you are!  Topics covered on online safety ranged from #HATERS to “Digital Detox” to charging yourself with positive messages each day just as we charge our mobile devices.

Here’s a challenge for you and your family from Dave and Blake:

Try a 24 hour Digital Detox and earn the title of “24 hour Trooper” or if you are up to it … detox for 7 days and earn the level of “7 Day Samurai”
