Experiencing Creation with All Our Senses: Taste – Worldwide Communion

This morning, we will celebrate Communion together live on Zoom. Bring bread and juice, or something similar with you when you join Zoom for the 10:30am service.

The service, on both YouTube and Zoom, will also include the anthem “The Task” by Gordon Adnams and a reflection that includes with our Season of Creation theme, moving on to our sense of taste.

Following the service, join Zoom at 11:10am for a time of conversation.

Our Stories and Makers Nest also relates to communion, and the craft is making a world with paper chain people. You will need a piece of white paper, water, construction paper, blue and green markers, scissors, and glue or tape. Watch at 9:55am on Zoom or any time on YouTube.

Next Sunday
We celebrate Thanksgiving Sunday by completing our Season of Creation theme with our final sense: smell. The service will include our first virtual choir project of the fall.

Spirit Alive – The Value of Letters

The first meeting of Spirit Alive is on:

SaturdayOctober 2nd at 10:30 am on Zoom

Our leader will be Marg Franklin and she says:

“Some recent reading made me think about the value of letters, especially handwritten ones, and more especially those that are giving of our Spirit. We will ground ourselves in letters in the New Testament and then share stories of important letters we may have received and/ or saved, or written, and indeed some, even famous ones, that we may have encountered in our reading. Hopefully we will all be inspired to write!”

Experiencing Creation with All Our Senses: Sound

WORSHIP AT HOME
September 26, 2021

Blessing of the Animals
“All God’s Creatures got a place in the choir”

Today’s service includes a Blessing of the Animals, so bring your pet with you to church – or a photo if that is a little more still.

This week our Anthem “A Place in the Choir” is a fun celebration of animal sounds. We will also sing “All Things Bright and Beautiful” as a hymn following the Blessing of the Animals.

Our Zoom service will include a time for lighting candles as our prayers for joys and sorrows – including all of our celebrations.

Join Zoom at 11:10am for a time of conversation following the service.

Next Sunday
We continue on to Taste next Sunday, as we celebrate Worldwide Communion live on Zoom. There will be a shorter time of worship shared on YouTube, but consider attending Zoom by computer or phone next week to share in communion with one another, bringing bread and juice, or whatever you have at home that is similar, with you.

This Sunday – Blessing of the Animals

This Sunday September 26th at 10:30am we continue the Season of Creation via Zoom

Blessing of the Animals

Our worship on our next sense, Sound, will also include a Blessing of the Animals, so bring your pets or photos of your pet to the screen with you!
