Special Notice re: Icy Conditions, Sunday January 12th
The conditions in Leaside, East York and the general Toronto area on roads and sidewalks are quite slippery in some areas with ice from all the rain we had yesterday and the drop in temperature overnight.
The church is OPEN this morning for Sunday service and fellowship afterwards and you are welcome!
We encourage you to make the best decision for the safety and comfort of your own well being.
Rev. Emily Gordon shares this short resource from this morning’s worship service you can review at home if your are unable to be with us physically in the church today.
Stay safe, use caution and walk carefully! Most likely the warm morning sun will melt this thin layer of ice by midday!
Special request from Matthew and Natalie!
On Sunday February 2nd, 2020 at 10:30am we will have an All Ages service at Leaside United Church.
We invite you to this special collaborative service! And we need your help and ask everyone to bring your favourite musical instrument.
You can come and practice the music with us either earlier that Sunday morning February 2nd starting around 9:45am or come on the Thursday evening during choir rehearsal on January 30th at 7:30pm!
So, dust off your trombones and djembe drums and come make music with us! All are welcome at any age and level of ability.
Please let us know over the coming weeks if you’d like to take part in the music making of this service!
Beginning with a God who pitches tents | Sermon by Rev. Emily Gordon
Whilst we try and find the mic attachment used to record the sermons (which grew legs and walked away during Rev. Emily’s leave), please enjoy the text version of her sermon from Sunday January 5, 2020 titled “Beginning with a God who pitches tents”.
UPDATE: the mic 🎤 has been found! Rev. Emily will be able to record her sermons once again! 😃😃😃
