In light of the recommendations by Ontario’s Chief Medical Office of Health, Dr. David Williams, Leaside United Church’s Emergency Preparedness Team has made the decision to close Leaside United Church until further notice, including suspending regular Sunday morning worship.
We are in an urban setting, with a vulnerable elderly population, and our decision is in a committed effort to keep our community safe and reduce the spread of the coronavirus.
The United Church of Canada encourages all of us to respond to COVID-19 with compassion, prevention, and prayer. We will be following up with further information on how we will continue to connect and care for our community during this closure.
