Leaside United Church Renovations
Important Timetable Update
The Renovation Committee met with the architect and construction lead today for an update on the complicated construction process that we at LUC are facing.
Here is the summary:
- The upstairs kitchen servery is presently under construction and will be completed no sooner than late November. The crew is pushing as hard as they can, however, the process will take longer than expected. We toured the area today and saw that it will be spacious and outstanding when completed. It is not expected there will be a delay to any of the starting times of the planned construction schedules in the rest of the church.
- Construction on the lower kitchen, halls, storage areas and gymnasium will commence on Monday November 4th, as scheduled.
- Commencing March 2020, the Sanctuary, Offices and Office Entrance will be renovated.
- The last phase of the process from April 2020 to early fall will be the outside entrance area and ramp, elevator as well as the exterior landscaping.
We greatly appreciate your patience. Major planning and coordination are required to keep our church and renters’ facilities operating as smoothly as possible.
We are very excited about the construction and eventual facilities that we and our community will be able to share.
