FIRST SUNDAY DURING LENT OUR SACRED WORLD: SACRED SPACES
This Sunday we begin our Lent worship series Our Sacred World by thinking about “thin places.” In Celtic spirituality, this is the idea that in certain places the boundary between our world and the spiritual world is thin, and we can more easily sense the divine. Our hymns will include “This is God’s Wondrous World” and we will say the traditional version of the Lord’s Prayer.
A few people have been asking whether I am doing daily Lenten reflections by email again this year. I’ve been doing this every other year, so please take part in 2021. Instead, this year we are offering several Lenten opportunities. I am leading a Lenten Workshop on Saturday, March 28 called “Practicing Imperfection” and Natalie is leading a four week series on prayer starting Wednesday, March 18. For something daily, you might be interested in this Lenten Carbon Fast calendar.
Blessings this Lent,
