Holy Week 2025

Join the Leaside Chancel Choir as the United Church of Canada celebrates its 100th Anniversary with a Good Friday concert, April 18 at 4:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

Immerse yourself in the transcendent beauty of Maurice Duruflé’s Requiem — a luminous, deeply spiritual masterpiece blending Gregorian chant with lush harmonies and serene orchestration. This moving work offers solace and reflection, capturing both the mystery of life and the promise of peace beyond.

We are pleased to offer this concert free of charge so that everyone is able to enjoy this incredible music. You are invited to leave a donation (plates will be at the doors) or make an online donation in gratitude for the concert and to support Leaside United Church making these musical centennial celebrations possible. Thank you very much for your financial support and your invitations to friends, family, and neighbours to join us on Good Friday!

Please note that the Good Friday concert will not be livestreamed, and we encourage you to attend in person to support Matt and our choir. We plan that the concert will be recorded, and shared at a later time.

Our Good Friday Concert is part of this year’s United Church Centennial Musical celebrations. Save the date for our 100th Celebration Hymn Festival the afternoon of June 8th!
