Transfiguration Sunday Communion

Communion & Worship – Sunday March 3rd, 2019 – 10:30am

This week is our last Sunday before the beginning of Lent. During Lent we try to slow down, paying attention to what is happening in our lives and in our faith stories. This week have the chance to celebrate together before the practice of Lent begins. We’ll share in communion and reflect on the ideas of transformation and celebration. In communion, we remember that all are welcome, that we do not have the right to control who chooses to come to the table. During our final hymn “Let Us Build A House” we’ll sing together “All are welcome. All are welcome. All are welcome in this place.”

Due to the snow storm in Toronto today many of the programs at Leaside United Church have been canceled including Mrs. Park’s School, Badminton and the North Toronto Book Study.

However, the church is open until 4:00pm so you will not find locked doors when you arrive. Please check with the convener of your program before coming to the church as it may be canceled.

Travel safe, stay indoors and check on neighbours, friends and family!

Holiday Hours at Leaside United Church

The church building will be closed from Tuesday December 25th to Saturday December 29th. Open on Sunday December 30th for regular service at 10:30am and then closed again until reopening on Wednesday January 2nd, 2019.
